I Don't Care What You're Called Poem by Rae Seagull

I Don't Care What You're Called

I don't care what you're called
What name the world knows you by
I'd recognise you anywhere
Regardless of your name
Or your identity in this world
We've always known each other
And will love and cherish one another
Until the very end of time
Through many lifetimes...
I can feel your presence
From thousands of miles away
For you dwell in my heart
In this life, you're my first love
And also my last
I've loved you all the more
As time has gone by
And no one can ever take your place.
