I Don't Find You Poem by Satish Verma

I Don't Find You

Lips frozen by xenophobia.
I was ready for the disjunction between
the republic and the crossed border.

It does not work. Hovering
over the pyre against fire. The wax palace
was ready to go in place of scapegoat.

Do you think this was a
universal failure? For human existence
I will write the anthem with blood.
