I Don'T Know Anymore Poem by Stephen Martin II

I Don'T Know Anymore

Remember when...
A silent stare spoke volumes
Sitting in that class room
Up at the community college

The professor spoke
and you tried to sound smart.

Her pen fell
and you hurdled a desk to pick it up.

The teacher wore green
and you helped her plant a tree.

They served turkey dinner
and you gave her your ice cream sandwich.

You cut her a construction paper evergreen
back when Christmas was allowed in school.

Oh...
Neither do I. I was just saying. You know what I mean, right?
