As I go through each day
I don't need daily affirmation
I live life on my own terms
Applying, my own application

I don't need to be praised
For a task when I'm done
I always do my best
My jobs are never hit and run

Save your praise for those
Who really seem to need it
If I don't hear those words
It will not break my spirit

If I have something to do
I get it done and I'm on my way
I don't need to hear your praise
I don't need those words you say
