I Don'T Want It Poem by Jasmine Thompson

I Don'T Want It

He said
'I give you my heart'
She said
'I don't want it.'

two weeks later he said
'I give you my mind'
She again replied
'I don't want it'

A month later he said
'I give you my body.'
she sighed and said
'I don't want it'

Thinking all was lost
between him and his love
he hung himself
leaving a note saying
'I give you my soul'

Crying in desperation
she jumped off a building
leaving a note saying
'I don't want your heart
I need it
I don't want your mind
I'm already every thought
I don't want your body
I know you'd give it to me whenever
I don't want your soul
I'd die for it.'
