I Dream Poem by Mackenzie Prickett

I Dream

I dream about her all day long.
I see her face and that is all.
Her voice resounds inside my head
Telling me that love will ne'er be dead.
She appears nightly inside my dreams,
And in them she is everything.
Her smile is burned into my brain.
I love her and cannot refrain.
Feelings for her, in my mind they did start.
Then ventured down into my heart.
I long for these feelings be returned,
And that our flame shall ever burn.

I enjoyed going along with this poem and then at the end I wondered why the dream What drives a person to dream so much and to leave the reader in the dark. Perhaps it was beauty, real or false. Alas we shall never know. IMO
