I Dream Therefore I Am



a tanka set for all would-be/depressed poets


their fingers grasp
toward me for a handshake
or a touch...
the poster 'A Poet's View' sways
in my midsummer dream

'I have a dream'
lingering in my mind:
men and women
stand in vigil at TV shops
watching my funeral
