I Drink One Poem by Djuro Stanojevic

I Drink One

You turn on
the news and
you hear that war
is there and here and
you know that
peace is dead,
i drink one
to his soul…

Police beat’s the workers
and those who demonstrate
against the violence,
human rights treaded
somewhere in stardust,
opinion created by media,
free opinion controlled
to permissible level,
slavery persist,
freedom is dead,
i drink one to her soul…

Catholics hate the Orthodox’s,
Muslims hate the Christianity,
sect’s hate everybody, maybe themselves too,
and when you acting
that you love me,
i know that
love is dead,
i drink one to her soul…

Hell,
i got drunk
tight as a drum…
