I Feel Sleepy Poem by Dr. Ramesh Chandra Mukhopadhyaya

I Feel Sleepy

I dont look forward to dreams
I am very busy
I feel sleepy
Today or tomorrow
or the day after tomorrow
my last breath will escape the body
and mingle with the carbon monoxide
that covers the sky
but doesnot hide it from the eye
I am not the body
Surely I am the breath then
My breath will rise up in smoke
and choke God the Father to death
If we could be strong in industries
If we could excel in automation
we can conquer the heaven
and send UN army to quell
the uprising of gods there
As Columbus killed Red Indians in the New World
so shall we kill most of the aborigines of heaven
and chain the rest of them
so that they could toil in our prison houses
just as the prisoners in Red China
Having conquered the heaven
and driving away the gods and angels
to the jails in Congo or Madagaskar
we will drink deep in the fountain of elixir
and explore regions of deeper sleep in sleep
Oh I feel sleepy
