I Filled My Dreams Poem by Dean Meredith

I Filled My Dreams

I stood in line with the darkness
My shadow shone in the night
From my house-light behind me
On a moonless star-filled night

I came inside, to the brightness
I was pushed by something won
There were girls in my mirror
Me behind them, looking on

And did I say? They were fine girls
In front of my mirror
With me looking on, behind them
Pushed by something won

And did I mention? Hairy bliss
In the soft canary night
I filled my dreams with darkness
On a moonless star-filled night
