I Fought A Loosing Battle

I fought a loosing battle against my father. Where once resided the lilies and daisies, lay sin and shamefulness. I welcomed bitterness and I let him lay on my bosom. I fought a loosing battle against my father, where mercy and grace once ruled; I let anger and hurt to take refuge. My garden that was once lovely and colourful; I've let the world walk on it and left it tarnished. I fought a loosing battle against my father. Where joy and smiles resided I let the world take refuge, I gave in into the world, I let the sounds of lies and deceit deafen my ears. I fought a loosing battle against my father. Where obedience and humbleness once resided, I let questions and rebellion take refuge. I fought a loosing battle against my father but he still lifted me up and took me out of dirt. Yet again I am back in his house and he still calls me daughter. I fought a loosing battle against my father...
