I Found You This Rose Poem by norman hale

I Found You This Rose

I found you this rose
Growing out in the yard
But just how it was growing
Is the part that gets hard

For you may not believe me
If I was to tell of the weather that it did grow
For this rose was surely growing
Way down under neath the snow

The form of it's bloom
reminds me of your smile
So precious and so round
Enough to trance me for a while

At first I didn't see it
For it's color was as white as snow
But then its shape stood out
And it glistened with a Heavenly glow

I'm sending this rose on to you
With warmest friendship and with my love
Just the way that I found it
After it had fallen from Heaven above

So send this rose on to others
As you pass on some of your love
And you will surely be passing on
A true symbol of love from above
