I Get You Poem by Sabrina xxx

I Get You

Do you ever wish I knew you?
Do I ever wish you cared?
I know it’s not my fault
That you were undeniably scared

Did I make you so afraid?
That you wanted to just leave
Run away from all of us
And give us lies to believe

Know my tears were full of soul
Covered in pain that you don’t know
Stinging my face as I swallow my pride
Burning and asking for something inside

Hoping and wishing for something brand new
All of these years thirsting for you
Wanting to know if you’re the real one
Gazing into the moon, the stars, and the sun

We finally get to this place
I can read your smirking face
Lies and deceit through the years
Now you can see my vulnerable fears

Pretending like you don’t notice a thing
You have me on your yo-yo string
I can’t stand to see your face
You left me with a horrible taste

I get why you act like this
Your face I no longer miss
I get you
I get you

I know your reasoning
I now know everything
I get you
I get you

Even though you left me hurt
It was easy to feel sure
I get you
I get you

I get your fire
I get your ice
I get your a liar
I get your entice
I get you
