I Go Outside And Take A Walk Poem by Silence Dogood

I Go Outside And Take A Walk

I go outside and take a walk.
Past the trees and around the block.
I see the kids laughing in the sun.
Playing around and having fun.

But as I walk the scenes being to change.
Homeless on the street begging for change.
Gangs fighting people counting on that one last hope.
No more younge kids playing or jumping rope.

Dead end houses and people playing for money.
Teenagers saying that names will never hurt me.
Even though they reach to the soul.
This is out of CONTROL.

I walk pass people and say a welcoming hi.
They look at me with tears in their eyes.
I give them money to buy them one more day.
But that doesnt help all they can do is pray.

Make a wish and hope it comes true.
That is all they can do.
I want to make a diffrence and change their lives.
Make it better and take away the lies.

I see them hurting and feel their pain.
I see the tears and years of shame.
I want that to change.

I go outside and take a walk.
Past the trees and around the block.
I see the homeless on the street.
Begging for change but asking for money.
