I Dont Want Coins I Want Change Poem by Silence Dogood

I Dont Want Coins I Want Change

I dont want your coins I want change.
I need you to be diffrent from all the others.
I cant beg on a cornor all my life.
Playing music for the street beggers
.
I need change not your coins and not your bills.
Your 20 will buy me food for a day but it wont buy me a life.
I'll have to keep asking for things i dont need.
Food and water and a shelter to protect me from the rain

Things I should of had but ranaway from.
Know one will know my secret but Im willing to tell.
No ears to listen or voices to greet me hello.
No kindness will come no change will I recieve.

Just grim looks and harsh words.
And people that just look away.
Will you keep walking or listen to my song.
Will you dropp a coin into the case,
or give me change.

Will you be the voice that speaks for me.
Will you make the choice and give me a life.
I cant be a street begger playing music fo no one.
Asking for money I dont really want.

Recieving looks I dont deserve.
Living in a world of hurt.
Would you stop and listen.
And change it if you could?
