I Hate Where I Am Poem by Michelle Dickson

I Hate Where I Am

I hate this place
Well, sort of.
It’s just so new
Not what I’m used too

Here I have no one
I’m all alone
Here life is empty
And I’m scared to the bone.

I hate sitting here
Wondering as people walk by
Would they stop to say, “Hi”
If only I was an acquaintance?

I’m so tired of everything
I just want it to end
Let me sleep
Long and deep.
