I have learnt that to say few words is wise,
To hide your originality is discrete,
To preserve your integrity is honorable
And to speak the truth is golden.
I have learnt that fools blab,
Anger is resentful,
Slothfulness is defeatist,
And setting for less is mediocre.
I have learnt that the way of a snake is cunning,
The roar of a lion frightens,
The presence of a dove comforts,
And that a goat is stubborn.
In all that I have learnt,
I realized that the ways of man are unstable,
A child cries; a woman cares,
But God is who He is - a father.
I ask that all I have learnt, I practice.
As you forget what you hear,
See what you remember,
But know what you do.
