I Have Lost It Poem by Emily Blue

I have lost it
I don’t know what it is
Or where I lost it
I don’t even know what it is
I just know that I’ve lost it.

Even though it was really important.
Even though I thought
I’d been grasping it tightly in my hand until just now.
I have lost the most important thing in my life
Yet I can’t seem to figure out
Exactly what it is that I’ve lost.

But I still keep searching
Finding myself unable to stop.
Though I cannot see
What the point seems to be?

Why am I searching for something I don’t even know what is?
Where do I start searching?
I’ve got no clues, no idea of where to start.
I just find myself thinking:
Where in the world is what I’m looking for?
