I Have Nothing Left...You Win ='[ - Poem by Shelby Renee

After being alone all these years, I sit here drowning in tears
My heart aching, my eyes sore and soaking wet
You've shown me today, that I'll never get away
No matter how hard I try, life won't let me forget
For so many years, I've cried so many tears
I held on for as long as I could
But I can't keep fightin, this battle that won't lighten
My strength is finally gone and I've given up for good
My strength you have stolen, my eyes are now swollen
I'm now broken, worthless, and useless
You're the cause to my pain, you drive me so insane
You are bitter, heartless and ruthless
For years you beat me sensless, I'm now hopeless and defenseless
You attacked me with memories and fears
You've been attacking my heart, slowly ripping it apart
And now it's effecting the one I love most dear
At times I had you beaten, you heartless little creetin
There were times when I was sure that I'd won
But to my repeated dismay, my triumph would again decay
And I went from being someone to no one
You've succeeded to render, this soul to surrender
I give into you, oh hurtful past of mine
It took me forever, but now I know more than ever
That you're gonna haunt me till the end of my time
So do what you will, wether it be hurt, torture, or kill
I have no strength left in me to fight
You've finally defeated this soul so mistreated
I stop troubling my loved ones with your memories tonight
