I Heard The Thunder Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

I Heard The Thunder

I heard the thunder
I was in the bed sheets
One night's thrill
Carried a life in a fist
I took it
And drunk
The rains made more
The merriment
As in a Scottish jig
They beat the panes
Whilst
Winds assailed the
Roof
Whilst
Winds assailed the
Doors.
I heard the thunder
I was in the bed sheets
One night's thrill
Carried a\life in a fist
