I really hate that it is not working
I know I cannot buy you the finest things that show your worth
You are worth so much - though still a diamond in the dirt!
I know you think I am young, younger and adventurous - that time's on my side
I know you are on the watch for your heart
And me not promising you we will grow older, grow old together does not help
I know you think I am yet another guy - a guy like the others. I will not dispute that.

Nevertheless, it really hurts that you judge me on a potential breakup
It hurts that you judge us based on what others will think
Now you have me feeling you are losing me
It hurts even more that you do not see through your fright for a heartbreak
Look beyond that and see what I am about to offer
