I Like To Walk In The Rain Poem by victoria driver

I Like To Walk In The Rain

I like to walk in the rain
because nobody knows
that I'm crying.
My sorrowful soul fills with water
And I feel like I am drowning.

I like to walk in the rain
because nobody knows
that I'm sighing.
My broken heart explodes with the wail
Of self pity.

I like to walk in the rain
because nobody knows
that I'm lying.
The tales I tell hide the heartache
That threatens to choke me.

I like to walk in the rain
because nobody knows
that I'm dying.
The final seed is sewn and the crop
is harvested.
