I Live In The Hardship That Your Actions Brought

1
The spring-rain is falling tonight,
the smell of wet ground is in the air,
thunder roars with its blue-white light
and in this you sleep as without a care.
2
Long ago Odysseus did such a night know
while destiny did around his life in tumult fling
and tempest tossed back to his wife he did go
but I have no opportunity to do so in this spring
3
where for a time as husband you do me deny
while you do linger still in every thought.
As with Odysseus quickly time passes by.
I live in the hardship that your acts brought
4
while on the sea of faith my ship sails daily.
Like Odysseus with Penelope I have to believe
that you are over a stretch of time true to me,
even if others do you expensive presents give
5
and constantly you do remain in my dreams
but your words and actions brings me pain
while this life is not as lovely as it seems
and other people you do always entertain.
6
Yet love, even in this great uncertainty
with you I do forever long to be.
