Words escape me at this moment…which seems like the end.
…Yet it was only our beginning when I met you…
I had felt love for you then & there…I must now to you confess…
But I was scared of falling in love at that time I guess…
Yet you waited patiently for me to say yes…

Tears fill me with memories of both good & bad...
…some nearly forgotten, yet dear to my heart…
Clearly etched in mind…not wanting to part…
I was still afraid of falling in love…& rejected all your advances…
…Yet you were still there for me …waiting for my yes.

In times of trouble & in times of joy, you stood by my side & held me up…
…through your ever patient ears & your comforting hugs.
You held my hand…fighting all my fears…
You allowed me to cry on your shoulder…wiping away my tears.
Even if we were not meant to be…Yet you were always there for me…

From the first day I saw you….
…I knew you would love me for who I was…
And not what you could make of me…
You never judged me…you never doubted me…
Without asking anything in return…you were forever there for me…

And until the day we are old & gray…
I want you to know that I will always be there for you…
Though separated by distance…being miles apart…
I'll always keep you in my heart.
