People say,
"You're fine.
"Just try to smile more."
"You aren't trying hard enough."
They don't seem to understand,
The thoughts that are flowing through my head
Ever little doubt that I have ever had
Has been amplified, so that I can't comprehend
Why do I seem to hate myself?
I will never understand
The pain I feel inside my brain,
I ask, "why me? "

I realize then I'm not alone
My family cares about me clearly,
I love them so dearly
I can't give up now
I have yet still to prove
I'm bigger than this
I'll show you.
