I LONG FOR LIVES I NEVER HAD

I long for lives I never had
For women I never knew
For the joy of being with them
And for the dream of our intimacy-

I long for lives I never had
And never will have-

And as I approach the end
I long too for my own life
that soon will cease to exist.
