I looked into the sky
On a clear day,
But saw no stars.
I looked inside my mind,
And found I was lost in
idle daisy-dreaming.
I could venture
Beyond the earth's contours,
To gaze upon the stars,
To uncover the truths—
But still, I am lost in
idle daisy-dreaming.
I could see through all illusions,
And recognize all that is a lie,
Yet the truth remains,
Beyond the dark veils of deception.
I won't speak of them all,
Until I breathe in
The breath of enlightenment.
I could understand
The reason for what lives in me,
The divine presence.
But all this wisdom I hold
Is not mere thought,
But a full, divine feeling.
