I Love Poem by Josh Sternberg

I Love

I love the first day of Spring
And the smell of fresh cut grass
I love driving with the top down
And going way too fast
I love the beach, and the fair
And all the greasy food
I love my summer romances
And how they set the mood
I love how every single day
Seems better than before
And I love the action of
Seeing bands play on tour
I love the freedom summer brings
And all it leaves behind
I love how eternal it feels
And how everyone is kind
I love swimming in
Icy freezing water too
Any lake, or any pond,
Any water will do
I love how I can do this now
Without needing drugs
I love how I don't get sick
Without having enough
I love how liberating all this is to me
I love the Bolton Potholes and
Swimming around the pee
I love working restaurants and always making cash
I love how the sun will set and how the colors mash
I love the sunrise just as much, that magic golden ball
I love going out on Friday with nobody to call
I love facing every day with a big "whatever"
Most of all I love it how I think it lasts forever.
