I Love To Contradict Myself, But I Can Only Fight With You

Rating: 4.5

What is in a name
Letters that’s all
What defines a person
Values, beliefs, choices

Are we more then skin deep
I want to explore your layers
I guess I really want to see someone bleed
Is that so twisted of me

I think I might really love you
But its not really true
I see cracks in that fake smile
Let that sting for a little while

Why do I confuse myself?
Dying will take you half to Hell
But dying is only have the fun
Today is gone, tomorrow is another one

Cut off ties with former lives
Cut off ties with former lies
You can’t take back words you won’t say
But it saves you from having to say them

And if murcury made the Hatter mad
Then what made the Chester Cat smile
Lets folly in our own devices
And say goodbye to second choices

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is about someone that everyone sees as this great happy-go-lucky person and finding out that almost everything about them is a lie down to their plastered on smile. And it also has a brief run-in meaning about changing yourself to be less fake. Lets folly in our own devices and say goodbye to second choices - lets rejoice are discover and change but embrace that it is our do-over and you don't get another
