I Love You Poem by Esther Williams

I Love You

Patiently waiting, watching as you grew.
The start of something special, the beginning of something new.
I loved you yesterday but you never knew.
Upon your arrival, my spirits lifted from low,
As I held you in my arms that first time, radiant, aglow.
I whispered "today I love you and I hope you know"
Time will pass, tomorrow's turn to yesterday,
Joy endures and memories replayed,
I'll love you for eternity come what may.
The bond between us will be second to none,
The astonishing love between mother and son.
