i could say a thousand words
about love, the bees and birds
but the best way to say it, cause its true
the best way to say it is i love you

i could say how i need you, how i care
how our love lifts me up in the air
our love that shines with a light so bright
it makes you forget the darkness of night

i could say how you've changed me, and how youre the one
how that my love for you was never for fun
how we go together like light and dark
and how your name on my heart is a mark

i could say how youre beautiful, yet still you love me
how the thought of us fills me with glee
how you are my world, the air that i breathe
how when i gaze into your eyes, i know youll never leave

i could say a million words, and a million love songs too
how i love the idea of me and you
how you are better than all the rest
but how i love you still does it best

i could shout from the rooftops, declare my love
how our love is gentle, like a dove
because if you love me, and i love you
then thats all of my dreams come true

but i still know what says it best
i know what beats all of the rest
although all these words ive said are true
what says it best- is i love you
