I Love You, Although I Never Knew You Poem by Marien Jacobs

I Love You, Although I Never Knew You

I long to see you too,
I wish I could hear your voice,
It will never go through as a noise.
I long to look into your eyes,
For then you would hear my heart cries:
I love you, although I never knew you.

I ám your blood,
Although you're my granddad.
To think about you make me sad,
I wish I could feel your love surrounded me,
You I long to see,
For I still love you allot.

Would you have loved to see me too?
I would walk a thousand miles
Only to see one of your smiles.
For my thoughts inside me goes mad,
When I say: I love you granddad,
Although I never knew you!
