I Love You And Welcome You Poem by Sasanka Sekhar Panda

I Love You And Welcome You

You lifted me up
from the dark nights of loneliness
and my pains departed
without any regret.

In your presence
again I rediscovered
the sweet memory of my love
and pains of separation.

Beams of your full-moon like eye balls
lay scattered everywhere
in the garden of my heart,
giving me
what the past grudged me to give
and guiding me
out of my dark illusion.

You are just but the sweet songs
and rhymes
born around me again.

Now my heart is burning
with some unknown hunger and thirst
my awakening is my deeper dream
and now I am going to ride the tides.

I am a seeker of silence
I sow seeds in this unknown season
My eyes suffer from hunger
for your countenance.

Now I am ascending the pulpit.
though I don't believe in resurrection.
My hands may tremble a little
like that of a forced aged beggar,
but it lay open for your charity.
I know
it will rescue me
from living in a dingy city apartment
like this.

So, I love you and welcome you
beneath your arms and close embrace
I find rest and solace
stringing the pearls
of my desires and dreams.
