While wandering through the
mangroves in the lagoon
I stretched out my hands
in the open air

I have forgotten how to hate
I have forgotten bitterness
in distant days.

i don't want to live in mansions
built by my ancestors no more alive.
I don't want to wear this so called freedom
like handcuff

you left me
all of a sudden
for ever,
knowing it well

The hearth of love
and compassion
is kindled in my heart
to ignite the hearts of

The goddess of love
came in the bridal attire
bringing peace of heaven
to my dry life,

I want to be a butterfly
ever on wings
flying from flower to flower
flapping and swaying

My little cute daughter
had a colorful balloon
in her tiny tender hands,
when punctured and

You are not near me
but I can feel
your presence
invisible and soothing.

The Best Poem Of Sasanka Sekhar Panda

Flicker Of Hope

While wandering through the
mangroves in the lagoon
I stretched out my hands
in the open air
when the torrential rain
beat the high heads of
those proud oppressors low.
I felt at that very moment
as if I descended
to the nether depth
the deep ocean-floor
where colors of spectrum
change every moment,
ultimately I reached
the valley of hope.

I have seen war-ravaged lands
where even the sunrise birds
keep quiet
forgotten to sing the sweet note
where the brooks, mountain streams,
rivulets and rivers
dried up in their
sandy and rocky beds,
and everywhere only
the cruel silence pervades.

Still there is a flicker of hope
for the dawn of a New World.
