I Love You Mom Poem by Storm Youngstrom

I Love You Mom

I watched other kids with their parents on the playground
They had two and I had one
My mom plays to roles
The older I got the more curious I got and the more questions I had
Every birthday when blowing out the candles
I would make a wish
Hoping we would meet
Fourteen was the number, the phone call came
We met the next day
No more questions flooded my mind
I felt no different
He meant nothing
And I felt nothing
You are all I need Mom
