The Kite Poem by Storm Youngstrom

The Kite

Once in Malibu
Beside the ocean blue
Something flew
I was just as curious as you
Who knew?

Its radiant colors blinded me
It looked as if it were free
Could it be?
A kite as high as the tree

Is it on a thread asked Fred?
Indeed indeed Fred!
It was on a thread
And on the other end
The kite swayed on a handle made of lead

What a gorgeous sight
The way that kite moved in the light
Then it took flight to a different site
Until out of one’s sight
