I'M Alone Poem by Marien Jacobs

I'M Alone

When I look around me
With open eyes I see
My pair of footprints are alone
And I hear my souls sad tone.

In this wicked world I'm broken,
Cause I'm chosen to be the out thrown token,
Not want to be seen anywhere,
And my death stones come flying from everywhere.

In this world 'everybody' else stands together,
Cause it don't matter whether
They're good or bad,
But they'll never see someone's sad.

In this world 'no one' walk
Cause they're all carried by a friends talk,
But for me they'll never say,
For you we will pray.

With my head down I'll walk,
No one will ever come to me and talk,
No one will ever come to take my hand
And say: I'll walk with you through the thick sand.

Yes, in this world I'm alone
And I'll never dare to moan,
Cause further they'll make my road
And more my load.
