I'M Bursting At The Seams Poem by Violet Warren

I'M Bursting At The Seams

I feel the heat running through my veins
I feel it's needed on this cold winter day
flames rise out of my mouth
Come hitch a ride on the bandwagon please
it kills me to feel alone on this bandwagon scene
so come, drown in the fire with me

maybe it's better to admit that I'm wrong
sometimes I don't feel like being the one
who goes down alone
my mind is the state that my body doesn't consider anymore
the crystals in my heart have shattered my vital core

just walk right by
you don't want to get involved in the business
of some stranded guy
who's lost sight of his provisions
I don't know what it takes anymore
I wish to tread in the water
swallowing my feet, it's already up to my knees

It's so easy to ride atop the fine line
between blue and green
I keep trying to fight the light
emitting from me
I'm bursting at the seams...
