I'M Happy Only If I'M Free Poem by Amanda Larsen

I'M Happy Only If I'M Free

I never said I'd be here forever
But you never said you bothered that much
Closing your eyes you are counting my footsteps
Don't waste your moments until I come back

There is a dream I haven't dreamt yet
A dream I will travel forever to find
There is a purpose for what I am here for
And I have to leave, to clear out my mind

I'll seek for me in the strangest of places
Seek for what broke such a long time ago
And I'll live and breathe and see and remember
And these broken wings I will spread in the flow

Don't cry for I will come back so much wiser
An adult instead of a child you will see
My spirit's a gypsy, my heart is an ocean
Don't trap me, I'm happy only if I'm free...
