I'M Her Son Poem by Lore Me34

I'M Her Son

Mother of my birth
she's not.
But I am her son.
Never held me in her arms.
But I am her son.
She is my mother
because she spoke to me
through her poetry.
And through her words
I found my own voice.
Maya Angelou is the mother of my poetry.
And I'm her son.
