I'M Intensely Happy - Poem by NAYYAR SHABBIR AHMAD

I’ m intensely, intensely happy
So intensely happy in fact
That I fear
I fear....

My happiness isn’t destined to last

Am I a pessimist?
I don’t think so
Then, how do I happen to know?

Consistency happens to be
The pattern of my life
And, unfortunately
- in the end
nothing has ever turned out right for me
