I'M No Better Poem by John Onyeme

I'M No Better

I'm no better than not by your side
I'm a fraction of myself without you
I have no shame, and have nothing to hide
Whether I stand clothed or bare in your view
There's nothing righteous than how you love me
There is nothing stronger than the bond we share
You are the way and the door and the key
To all that could give me joy or despair
The more you look at me the more I thrive
The more you embrace and kiss me the more
You fuel my breath, the more I feel alive
The more my heart crave for you than before
And one thing I want you to understand
Is that I'm no blessing than in your hand
