Im only 21
I heard the news
That I don't have long to live
Instead of crying
Like someone normally would
I look at the doctor and ask how long
After everything that I've been through
And the things going on
I realized how much that I don't care
Hoping that my time will be sooner
then they think

If I were in the position the poem illustrates, I would probably say and think the same thing, however, I would rather want to live as long as possible, and to spend it with the ones I love. I thought this was great.

I hope as the other reader said, this is a poem and not a true life incident referring to yourself. If it is true I hope that God and all His angels bless you with every miracle there is for Him to offer you

First I hope this is only a poem and that you don't have a terminal illness.
The poem says I don't care because I'm giving up and my life stinks anyway.
So I say challenge yourself and write each poem as if it is your last
and see what comes out!
