I’m Stood There Too Poem by David Darbyshire

I’m Stood There Too

Brains like walnuts contained in coconuts
We bang our heads against the walls
Since mans pride is as big as barns and just as wide
There is no moving forward the dilemma being worldwide

I sometimes stop and observe a single head banger
Seemingly so confused not knowing what where or how
Funny too see and harder to hold back the laughter
As I think about it all does not seem right somehow

To use ones mind in a great but positive way
Is easy to say alas harder to do
Most of us are still waiting in the hallway
Trouble is I’m stood there too
