I need your light to get me through
God I know your love is true
I believe in you first and foremost
Whatever this may have to cost

Your spirit is my driving force
You're the professor of my life course
Your gentleness surpasses any other
Your message to us was to love one another

This is my poem to you
Who else would I write all this to?
You're everything I have O God
You're even when everything else is odd

Lord, I pray you never let me go
You'll never give up on me I know
Your door is always open for us all
We just have to respond to your gentle call

I'm thankful for having you beside me everyday
In deep silence and strong faith I pray
Teach me to spread peace everywhere I go
And equally love my friend and foe

Let your happiness fill me from within
Let your unconditional love forgive my sin
Take control over my life
I'm yours God, as long as I'm alive.
