I Married An Angel Poem by Rik Bertrand

I met her by chance in a meadow at night,
She had wings of an Angel and was dressed in all white.
I through caution to wind and requested a dance,
I was amazed how this meeting turned to true romance.

I met her each night in that meadow of love,
I always wondered if she came from above.
Life has its miracles and I thought this was one,
To romance an angel, to have a life full of fun.

Time came to pass and we had to move on,
So I asked her to marry me, so we could be one,
She smiled her great smile, and her answer you can guess
She said "I am your Angel and to be your wife, I say Yes"

I married and Angel and my life is complete,
We have five baby angels running around at our feet.
No complaints you will hear from my tired soul,
For I have married an Angel that stays in control.
