I Met A Girl Poem by Joseph Godwin

I Met A Girl

I met a girl
Who's smile hails miles away finding comfort in the arteries of my heart
A damsel who's words dances with eyes of my mind
Like I could literally feel heaven smiling at me
She was a queen without a king as I checked
so i joined the league of the pawn
She was a mistress of distress
Carved out from the tree of my imagination
melanin in nature
Painted on the portrait of my vision
She's a beauty without doubt
Summoned from the room of my conviction
A companion of opium
To rescue loneliness as her mission
She's artistic
As she draws attention with impression...
She's a woman but whose man is she?
It's the question
