The Blind Law Poem by Joseph Godwin

The Blind Law

I lost my taste to waste
fruits rots in the basket
Souls qued to be buried in the casket
The land grew so much weed
Young men smoked it up to meed
The tree bleeds to its feet
the knife stole its life in defeat
The guilty trembles when is accused
Still no fear for the word
They still plea to the truth
The one with the gravel is their lord
Humanity falls like the fallen angel
Heaven above seems to be their angle
To speak they've become dumb
To hear they've become deaf
To read, they're leproid and blind
And the burning furnace blends in it
Ere has their days, the air had it ways
Grace is sufficient before it becomes a race,
Say not the innocent blood stained me
This was just a fight of defense
I plead not guilty for I haven't committed any offense....
