I Miss You Poem by Chelsea Pieterse

I Miss You

Rating: 5.0

I cried myself to sleep
dreams of your smile
cloaked my mind
soft and sunny
lighting
even the darkest corners
of my mind
where i so often seem to wander
i awoke to find
my prayer for you
smudged across my pillow
in tears
i miss you.
And the world is so much darker
without your smiling eyes
im trying to hold on to life
but it keeps slipping through my fingers
like the golden sand
in an hour glass
and all i am left with
are my memories of you
i miss you.
But the sky seems so much lighter
because it now has
the brightest star of all
glittering in the black night
like your smile glitters in my black soul
i miss you
but i know that one day
i will see your
sunny smile
again
