I Miss You Like The Sky Misses Stars During The Day Poem by Cassandra Hooper

I Miss You Like The Sky Misses Stars During The Day

Rating: 2.5

I feel the stitches tugging
The fabrics starting to fray
You made me think I had you
But then you walked away
My tears burn like kerosene
Like acid eating through my skin
My need for you refuses to leave
You've become my nessicary sin
But I know that you don't miss me
It eats away at the seams of my heart
Threatening to dismember me
Slowly tearing me apart
You just walked away
Like I never meant a thing to you
Its been months since we even spoke
I consider maybe trying again
But I can tell the result and I choke
I choke on words that never reached your ears
On feelings that never meant a thing
I still can feel you kiss me love
It the lack of your existance that makes my eyes sting
With tears that have no room
Pain that has no proper place
Pictures of you forgetting me
God I miss the smile on your face
You're not the one who wanted me
When I wanted noone else but you
You've found a new girl to make laugh
I'm sitting here wondering 'God is there anything I can do'
